Michael J. Gifford
Director /Treasurer
Mike began his military career with a commission from Siena College's Reserve Officer Training Corps, in Loudonville, N.Y., in 1997, the same year he earned his B.S. degree from Union College (also in New York). He began a civilian career in finance with State Street Bank, and later worked as an investment advisor with American Express in Boston, Mass. During his tenure in the reserves, Mike participated in several domestic security and training operations prior to his combat tour in Iraq.

A freelance writer, he's appeared as a guest-contributing editor for Soldiers for the Truth (www.sftt.org), a non-partisan Internet-based organization, and has been published in Soldier of Fortune Magazine.


Having left the military as a captain in late 2005 to pursue his civilian career, he now lives in Chicago, Ill.
Capt. David M. Bentley
Vice President
David began his military career in 1992 as an enlisted infantryman with the United States Army. A graduate of Norwich University, David was commissioned in 1995 as an engineer officer, and opted to acquire a second military specialty (military police) in 2003.

He's participated in two overseas training missions and two partial mobilizations during his tenure with the Army Reserves, including commanding the 94th during its combat tour in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I and II.


David currently lives and works in Massachusetts with his wife and daughter, and is a captain in New England's Army Reserves.
Staff Sgt. Scott J. Couture
Events Co-Chair
Scott is a 1991 graduate of Long Island University (Southampton) with a B.S. degree in chemistry. Currently a Maine Marine Patrol officer and Coast Guard reservist, Scott has extensive experience with the United States military, including a nine-month tour in Bosnia as part of NATO's Operation Joint Forge in 2000-2001.

An avid sportsman, Scott lives in Maine with his wife and two children, and is a member of the Marine Patrol Dive Team.
Sgt. Richard J. DiTrapano
Co-Director

Born and raised in the Boston, Mass., area, Rick is a former United States Marine (1990-1993) and Operation Desert Storm veteran. An active participant in Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and a member of the local American Legion executive board, Rick is heavily involved in community activities around Boston.

He currently lives in Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
